EDIBLE FOREST OAU imagines another way of uniting territories: not through domination, centralization or dependency, but through the Living, food, seeds, experimentation and transmission.

The World Seed Bank is a living network of National and Territorial Banks, coordinated by EDIBLE FOREST OAU according to the OAU Protocol. Each territory remains responsible for its plant heritage.
Protect the vision, establish the Protocol, list territories, connect the banks, organize traceability, preserve the memory.
Inventory, protect, experiment, reproduce, adapt, validate, conserve, disseminate and transmit results to the network.
No dissemination without origin, lot, cycle, species and experimentation history.

Exploring the possibilities of the Living
EDIBLE FOREST proposes to progressively experiment with the adaptation capacity of certain plants to new territories. The apple tree in Gabon is a conceptual example of such an envisioned experiment.

An African root, a possible transmission
Africa is, in this proposal, the root of the EDIBLE FOREST method. Its diaspora could, over time, connect this idea to other continents.
