EDIBLE FOREST OAU is an idea for utopianizing the world through the Living. It proposes a direction: to imagine another way of connecting territories through seeds, plants, food and transmission.
Utopianization does not consist of describing an unreal world. It consists of imagining a desirable direction, of designing the conditions that could make it possible, and of progressively experimenting with what may take form in matter.
EDIBLE FOREST OAU proposes a utopianization through the Living: starting from seeds, plants, territories and food to imagine other forms of cooperation, wealth, transmission and unity.
EDIBLE FOREST OAU is an independent idea for utopianization initiated by Grégory Mastorgio. It is not an intergovernmental organization, an official institution, or a mandated structure.
Unity is not decreed: it is proposed here as a possibility, to be rooted in cooperation between territories through seeds, plants, food and the transmission of the knowledge that could be obtained.
A territory that no longer produces its own seeds may become dependent. The Living, in this proposal, should remain reproducible, transmissible and under the responsibility of those who inhabit it.
Money finances; the seed produces. One does not replace the other — the two complement each other when the territory remains responsible for its Living.

EDIBLE FOREST OAU proposes to imagine cooperation, traceability, conservation and transmission between territories — without taking away from territories the control of their seeds.
The seed is presented as a living, reproducible and transmissible wealth, complementary to money. This proposal does not turn the seed into currency and does not replace existing economic systems.
Money finances, transports, remunerates and equips. The seed, in this proposal, produces the Living: food, other seeds, trees, knowledge, autonomy.
Every territory could become aware of its plant heritage, of its possibilities and of its responsibility toward the Living it transmits.
We do not describe an already established system. We propose a direction. We imagine what could become possible. We seek to create conditions for experimentation. We would observe what actually takes form. We always distinguish the idea, the experience and reality.
